The Modshop is a company that was built completely by individuals with a true love of the custom car and truck lifestyle. There is no big corporation involved. There is no out of touch, middle management individual sitting in a windowless cubicle in an office building somewhere calling the shots.

We get asked a lot, what it is that we do. It is a tough question to answer, we do so much. I'm sure looking at the site you start to notice that we don't specialize in anything specific. Our strong point would probably be paint, suspension and chassis design, but our sheet metal work is pretty good too. We are always looking for better ways to do things, how to make it look nicer and most importantly how to do it right.
Building so many different types of vehicle is a major learning tool. Designing a long-travel off-road front suspension has many similarities to figuring out how to get a minitruck to lay on 20's and still lift high enough to be able to turn.
One thing that is quite important to us is the design and engineering phase of every project. Many people can fabricate and many people can engineer, but not very many can do both. Our ability to do both gives us a major advantage, and ASE and I-Car certifications under our belt, you can be guaranteed you will have a safe and structurally sound ride.
